Analysis of antimicrobial susceptibility data produced in routine veterinary diagnostics. Royal GD and the Veterinary Microbiological Diagnostic Centre of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht University together receive thousands of samples from diseased animals each year; bacteria are cultured from them and their antibiotic susceptibility determined. The project analysed these susceptibility data for bacterial species from farm and companion animals covering 2016 to 2020, to establish whether reliable and representative national overviews can be derived from them.
