Such a nanopublication defines a concept according to the SKOS standard. Concepts are the units of a controlled vocabulary or thesaurus, and are by convention named with singular nouns (or noun phrases) like 'human', 'cardiovascular disease', or 'approach'.

\n\n

The concept is minted under the namespace of the vocabulary it belongs to: when this form is opened from a vocabulary (or space) page, that namespace is used automatically; otherwise a selector appears to pick it.

\n\n

Use the term status to mark a concept as deprecated (discouraged, but still listed) or withdrawn (removed from the vocabulary's listings).
