IOSP 2026 is the third edition, held 12-15 October 2026 in Leiden: the Poortgebouw of the University of Leiden and GO FAIR host 12, 13 and 15 October, while 14 October is a community day around the city, with walk-and-talks, museum visits and community workshops hosted around Leiden. The programme follows four themes - store, share, assess, fund - and is deliberately production-driven: 10% talks and panels, 15% tooling showcase, 75% co-design and build. Across the two main working days the participants build a researcher-owned data network and preserve at-risk data on it, break research into modular, attributable components starting with their own past papers, write open algorithms that assess that research from the seat of the people who fund it, and explore how funding can follow them. 15 October is a half day on the theory of change.";
