                        "@value": "BiCIKL initiated and built a new European starting community of key research infrastructures, establishing open science practices in the domain of biodiversity through provision of access to data, associated tools and services at each separate stage of, and along the entire research cycle. The project provided new methods and workflows for integrated access to harvesting, liberating, linking, accessing and re-using sub-article-level data - specimens, material citations, samples, sequences, taxonomic names, taxonomic treatments, figures and tables - extracted from literature, and provided for the first time access and tools for seamless linking and usage tracking of data along the line: specimens to sequences to species to analytics to publications to biodiversity knowledge graph to re-use. Its main result is the Biodiversity Knowledge Hub, a single knowledge portal to interlinked and machine-readable FAIR data. BiCIKL was funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme under grant agreement No 101007492 and ran from 1 May 2021 to 30 April 2024, with 15 partner organisations from 10 European countries, coordinated by Pensoft Publishers."
